They're so good live. They were my 2nd or 3rd concert, I think (my first was Sonic Youth.) I've seen them a couple times and always thoroughly enjoyed it, despite not even being a big Metallica fan.
I'm obviously a bit biased here, but I can't believe any other band can top the shows they give. The guys are old enough to start having grand kids now and they're still out there kicking ass like its 1988. Granted they've chilled with all the swearing and drinking and stuff for the younger crowd, but you get fire during Enter Sandman and drones and whatever other things now. I've always felt like I'm in the presence of god(s) with them on stage.

I think I'm late to this convo, but my first concert was some music showcase in the park when I was like 10. Montell Jordan and Ginuwine performed... I don't count it because I was hot and wanted to go home...

My real first concert was a festival in ATL where I saw incubus for the first time and BONE on the second day... I lost my cousin and rode the train alone. We got in so much trouble. I was 17

Music Midtown? I went a few years back and caught Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Ghost, TI, Ludacris, Garbage... Gotta love festivals. Well worth the trip from IL.

Maybe... it was back in 02... i did my senior year there. I took my daughter to the Beale Street festival last year and she wasnt ready for it. She didnt know there would be so many people lol. She wants to see Panic at the Disco in February but I was not impressed with her report card so idk. I told her indoor concerts are different but festivals are way more fun and worth the money!

probably one of my greatest adolescent crushes (look how sad he is! he's in the shower with his clothes on! he needs a new girlfriend!)

not gonna lie I still listen frequently  He also has solo work and couple new bands he's been a part of.

Lol. I'll have to check out more. I really dig that Honorary Title song and will probably play it throughout the day. Will def be checking out more of his work. That other song is really good too.
