Nevermind, I figured it out. Apparently TurkPrime blocks all VPNs, and my workplace runs through a VPN before connecting to the internet. Fuck me I guess

Well in this case, that's not the issue. If you are blocked from a survey from using a VPN, they will tell you as much and say that they think you're using a VPN and to turn it off and try again. I'm familiar with that case as I always connect through a VPN and this message only happens about 5% of the time.

However, what's happening to you is that someone with your IP address or perhaps someone within your IP address block has already taken the survey. I've noticed this happens a lot with commonly-used VPNs or servers. In your case, if you're connecting at work, someone else using your work's IP or a very similar IP has already done that HIT.

After you get the message that someone else at that IP has already taken the survey, you get blocked from the HIT and you have to return it. Whereas if you were just told you were using a VPN and to retry, you could turn off the VPN and continue the HIT just fine.

This is true. My coworker and I knock each other out of surveys all of the time because of the IP address issue.

I recommend staying far away from the Colin Hill $20 transcription HIT. I'm tossing it back now. ''short'' mean 3 hours of terrible audio quality. Fair pay for this would be more like $180. Ye have been warned!

I don't like those Computer Vision trace hits. I don't know how any of you do them. The tediousness isn't what gets me. It's the fact that half the time it deletes my line. This last one I tried let me get half way through (twice) on tracing a bed and then the dot to land the line just quit appearing and I was stuck with a dotted line I couldn't land. Does anyone else have these troubles?
