We do have lake effect snow. I don't think thats a thing other places, but only because we have the giant lake...

Edit: yes we have more than one giant lake, however, I believe most lake effect snow comes off of Lake Michigan.

Lol, yes, other places in that region have to deal with all of that too. I grew up in Chicago and have had to deal with all of that cold ass weather and the lake effect, even in the summer, would change the temp from the city to the suburbs to the rural parts
