did you know that calico cats are almost always female because the black and orange alleles (dna) are only on X chromosomes (so boys can have one or the other, and not both)? and that any male cats that have it are really XXY and infertile?

My sister took in a white male cat, that happened to be deaf, and found later that genetically white cats many times are deaf, due to some pairing with white color. His name was Claw-dius.
(and he had a good long life with that home, decade plus)
