i was working security at a record signing George Clinton did back in 1994
and I got him to autograph a Parliament/Funkadelic live bootleg and he gave me the sly eye and laughed, cool dude too

So as he was leaving the record shop he went next door to a check cashing place to cash the appearance check from the store owner. Well the guy behind the counter was an older Asian man and had no idea who George was, so the owner and I plus George's entourage went in and was trying to tell the guy who this was and it was legit, also in the process I showed the clerk the 'Parliament LIVE Take Funk to Heaven in '77' album with George all over the cover.

So after that plus the owner vouching for him the guy finally cashed the check...
