When the tracing ones showed up last time, I wasn't even planning on trying them. Then I saw a lot of people saying they were soft banned and I wanted to see how many I could do before getting soft banned myself... I never did, so I kept doing them to fill in the gaps between other HITs.

Not that I've done them, but I took a quick look and the hit says it wants a reasoning behind why you felt that way. I would think they mislabeled the boxes under each set of bubbles and that is where the explanation goes.
Everybody gets one, look at me solving issues and stuff oh yeah.

Heard anything about him? He had that last batch that was all higher paying and easier, then that closed off one. Since then I haven't heard him mentioned.
The whole thing smells fishy to me. Spending money to figure out the best way to cheap out on work...
I haven't. Assuming they are compiling the data for some kind of publication, or using it to train a neural network. If they are using it to train they will probably go through a test phase to see how much all the data has helped the NN come up with realistic answers, and then they'll be another data phase where we'll rate new output from the NN. that's how that kind of research usually goes. obviously it's not too great at it yet so hopefully that means there's a lot of work for us still left
noah/noah turk/computer vision turk has, for at least as long as i've been turking (5 months) been consistently a decent to good payer. definitely in the upper ranges for batch work. them starting to cheap out would be a heel turn. they don't pay amazing like rowan did but dropping thousands of hits that pay 10-20/hr is very very good for mturk. there are some problems with their algorithm and now that they are qual restricting that will become a big problem really fast for them, so i suspect they will need to fix their process or open it back up. if they reduced the pool of possible workers from, say, 2000 to 200, and half of them are already banned, it's gonna be a big issue.
You're likely right. I'm not trying to be super salty or hate-y; I made a lot of money this week off of CVT. I'm honestly not super salty about not getting the qual, but the whole thing seems a bit weird to me still.
