There was a rumor that they were building one, about a year ago. There was a "journalist" that was posting on all of the forums and on reddit, asking if anyone knew anything about it. I don't think we ever heard anything else about it, though, so who knows if there was ever any truth to it.

When these first started, I was doing them all the time. The surgeons were putting rings on a peg board, and cutting cloth. Then....they started operating on what I convinced myself were dead pigs, or even human cadavers. Then...I saw blood spurting. I've seen enough CSI to know that dead people or pigs don't spurt blood. That was the end of that for me.

Why doesn't google just create its own version of mturk? I feel like they'd be more efficient and allow for better and higher paying tasks.

They did already check out gethybrid.io, most members are from a fb group though plus occasional quals on mturk

Edwin and Google is a funder just like Daemo is stanford because of the funding, it's all about the money and who puts it up

edit: what I mean is if I started a platform and received seed funding from Microsoft, even though I'm the innovator it's still a microsoft platform, they are the ones who felt it was in their best interest to accelerate it because they're the ones who want to compete in the crowdsourcing market not me, I'd be the one trying to get rich after attaining critical mass
