Social media promotes depression...why? Because all you see is the image people want you to see and if you have a lot of friends it will look like they are all doing cool fun shit while you're sitting at home...this even happens to adults.

I'm a mean mom who doesn't hand out smartphones.
And even if I could afford to,
I'd still be that asshole that points out all the things wrong with having them as kids. My kids aren't allowed Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. accounts either. The world is filled with horrible people, I want them to be aware- but not affected.

I'm also mean. My kids got cell phones at 13, but have to earn their phone time. They don't get access to it whenever; it stays in my room, and they can have it for a few hours a day on the weekends when chores are done, and two weekday evenings after homework is done. That's it. It's a privilege and when they get in trouble- that's the first thing they lose. Electronics time. Oh fucking well.

Thanks to morning Zs and snagging occasionally decent surveys the last two days I am now working on Thursday earnings. Probably going to have to bail soon, though, since my 13 year old has decided to revert to a 4 year old and start being an ass crack to her baby brother. She ate all of his snacks in the house, not because she doesn't have any - but because she is jealous of him and just likes to suck.
