I saw 62 pages and just knew big stuff had to have happened. 50k virals or something.
Wow wonder if it was a last batch for a while deal. Hopefully the people here made some good money on them. Our day is coming spooky. You just hang in there!

it was good to take a full day off. Went and saw a cheesy movie with my mom (because she likes that kinda thing) and then had book club with the girls (really just an excuse to eat, drink wine and laugh.). Hope you all had a great day.

from security-update@amazon.com

Hello,

At Amazon we take your security and privacy very seriously. As part of our routine monitoring, we discovered a list of email addresses and passwords posted online. While the list was not Amazon-related, we know that many customers reuse their passwords on multiple websites. Since we believe your email addresses and passwords were on the list, we have assigned a temporary password to your Amazon.com account out of an abundance of caution.

You will need to reset your password when you return to the Amazon.com site. To reset your password, click "Your Account" at the top of any page on Amazon.com. On the Sign In page, click the "Forgot your password?" link to reach the Amazon.com Password Assistance page. After you enter your email or mobile phone number, you will receive an email containing a personalized link. Click the link from the email and follow the directions provided.

Your new password will be effective immediately. We recommend that you choose a password that you have never used with any website.

You can also enable Amazon's Two-Step Verification, a feature that adds an extra layer of security to your account. In addition to entering your password, Two-Step Verification requires you to enter a unique security code during sign in. To learn more about Two-Step Verification, go to Amazon.com Help, go to Managing Your Account, and click More in Managing Your Account, and then click More under Account Settings.

Sincerely,

Amazon.com

oh nice you won the hit poster award...good to know my vote went to good use :p
I voted for her too, I figured a Crowd Pleaser- Hit Poster alliance would be strong enough to overthrow the mods and run this place like a cult of personality dictatorship with me as its figurehead and Krikket @Krikket as an enforcer.

They aren't directing you anywhere other than their site, included directions and didn't give scammy links. I'd log onto Amazon and follow the directions. Maybe chat live. Looks legit on the surface but I wouldn't click any links from the email.

Either someone reallllly likes these genomes or someone is scamming them. The latter makes more sense.

I say that because I'm 99% positive there was 9k of them last night. No way someone in their right mind is going to swallow 4.5k of them in a given day.

looks like just a regular warning. as good internet usage practice though i'd go to amazon's site directly instead of clicking on the link provided in the email just to make sure.

Yeah if it was a scam they'd make you click on a link or direct you somewhere where they could get your password. If you change if in the regular Amazon page there's no danger of anything.
