Morning/afternoon, everybody. I just want to let you all know that I'm planning on migrating the forum to a new server sometime tomorrow. Downtime should be minimal since I'll be getting everything setup on the new server while this one is still running. I will be taking the forum down for about ten minutes when I export the database, but that should be it. Also, any posts or account changes made between the time I export the database and the time I switch us over to the new server will not be saved. So, if you've ever been tempted to say something really regrettable here, you'll have about an hour to do it. Then it will be gone forever.
Since I'm going to have to point the domain at a new IP, it may take up to a few days for the DNS change to register for everyone. I'm hoping to alleviate this problem by pointing HAProxy on our old server at the new server (so if the DNS change hasn't happened for you and it tries to send you to the old server instead of the new one, the old server will be able to route you itself.) But if you still experience any sort of issues, be sure to flush your DNS cache. You can find instructions on how to do that pretty easily by Googling (I know Windows users just have to enter "ipconfig /flushdns" in a command prompt window.) And, as always, clearing your browser cache probably couldn't hurt either.
Thank you.
