I've received a bonuses ranging from .05-.50 cent sent my way in appreciation or accusation as a result.
One requester admitted that she exhaled her coffee through her nose because I'd caught her unaware.
I just do it because I do shit like that. It's definitely not worth the time involved for the occasional bonus but it does break up the monotony a little bit.

HAHA Least I now know I am not the only one who does this.

Probably depends on where you live. I'm surrounded by pampered professionals in my neighborhood, so they pretty much demand everything be perfectly up-to-date at the local restaurants or they might threaten to leave a scathingly negative Yelp review.

Somewhere I have a recording from (I think) the 40s or early 50s of radio show out-takes labeled "Famous Boners."

Things like "5 people were killed in the collision, two seriously." And a quiz show guest identifying "Alexdander Dumas" as "Alexander Dumbass," then when the audience burst into laughter she corrected herself by saying, "Oh! Henry Dumbass!"
