Sports are unpredictable. Someone could be highly favored and then hurt their leg and change everything. It's always good to have someone to blame when things go wrong so you feel better.

You just gotta make the spread though. So like, a team who's favored to win also has to win by a lot in order to beat the spread.

the large underdog does win from time to time but there’s a lot you have to factor in from match to match. the recent form of each player, the surface they’re playing on, etc
