Hi there, Thank you for participating. Our database showed that you didn't finish the questionnaire. I'm afraid that we won't be able to honor the hit payment this time. Kindly make sure you finish and enter your Mturk ID correctly next time. Hope you have a good day!

Rejected for not entering an Mturk ID. I don't think I have ever missed one of these, I'm calling BS
if you did not enter your mturk id correctly, how did they know how to contact you ? :)

Do not do the Eugene Q. Chan .10 Study that is supposed to be 2 minutes. First, it's far longer than 2 minutes and second, he just rejected it as the work was not up to their standards. For a guy who can't tell time he's pretty offensive. The timers in the hit were almost 2 minutes alone.

Oh, and the rejection came within minutes of submission.
I've noticed of late there are a lot more rejections popping up than usual. I alone managed to get three in the last month--and those were the only ones in the last 3 years. Makes me wonder if someone(a fool, of course) is out there in internetland writing misbegotten, misapplied, misunderstood(or is that incomprehensible) little papers on how we all workers are scamming--no doubt from foreign climes(wish I was in a foreign clime, where it wasn't pouring down a monsoon)-- the poor downtrodden researchers who only want our feeble help, so they can save(rule) the world to the benefit of all(especially them)....nice run-on sentence there. Should I make it longer and then save it for the next requester who asks me for my opinion?

I asked that of a requester once. He couldn't explain it. I have been told that the program harvests you ID when you accept a HIT. That's why you can't usually accept a Hit twice, whether you did it or just returned it. It's also how a requester like Oscar Smith could actually block a worker who had used a HIT to do a capcha. He had the ID... ...It's the mystery of Mturk.

I don't think there's a way to display a person's worker ID in the default interface until they've submitted the HIT. I'm not sure if that data can be pulled with the API or what, but it does seem to require some sort of special setup by the requester, so I don't think it's all that common.

But in a case like this, where a survey is asking for an ID, I think all the requester has to do is look at all of the IDs that submitted HITs and see if they can match all of those up with IDs that were entered into surveys. If they find an ID that doesn't have a match, then they would know that that person didn't enter their ID in the survey.
