I was letting a $2.50 HITs' time run a little b/c I didn't want to submit it too soon and my internet pooped out and it expired messaged the requester with a screenshot showing I had completed the survey (couldn't access it anymore etc) and explained what I did in the HIT. I hope they'll still compensate me. FML.

They might. They'd have to set up a separate compensation HIT for you, since they don't have a submitted task. Some requesters are cool about setting them up, but they're a rare breed.

Any requester that's gonna reject you for "completing their survey to fast" is the same requester who isn't going to set up a compensation hit for you.
I never see the logic in letting hits timer run
(this goes double for qualtrics hits since they can see how long you spent on the qualtrics site too, so if your mturk timer says 59 minutes but you finished the qualtrics survey in 2 minutes, they can see that)

It has been statistically evidenced that people without avatars are more likely to suffer negative consequences. Namely being mistaken for other people without avatars.

They didn't specifically say that they would reject for going too fast but I finished in like 10 minutes for a $2.50 hit and I'd rather not risk getting a rejection for going too fast. I'm trying to get away from my scared turking ways but it's difficult. I realize this all could have been avoided if I'd just submitted it as soon as I finished. Live and learn
