But i haven't been home since soon after breakfast. I took my truck over to a friend's house and we've been working on it all day. Got a few things i needed fixed done, found a few things i didn't know needed fixed yet done. For the low low price of $0 we got done what would of cost at least $400 at my mechanic. I'm trying to make my truck get 20mpg. It started at 15 when i first got it, i've got it up to 18.5 recently, and now i have to see what i'm up to now since this is all done.

What all did you do to get it up to 20mpg?

What kind of truck is it?

Its a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.3L V6
I started with easy stuff, changed the air filter, vacuumed all the crud in the filter box out.
Today we removed the towing kit since i don't have anything to tow anyways, its literally just dead weight.
Next i am ordering a tri-fold hard cover for the bed.

Nothing too crazy, i'm sure i can get it to 20mpg though, and i'll be happy enough with that since its a truck.

today we fixed some rattles it had that was driving me nuts too, but that didn't help anything but my sanity

Yes, it also has some security vulnerabilities from what I understand. MTS' HIT Finder and HIT Forker seem to be the most popular options these days.
