Boyfriend finally got his orders today. He got his top choice for 3rd round, stationed on a destroyer out of here. He will deploy, but no moving for 3 years!

That's the base I was stationed at for about 4 years, I was on a carrier. Can't really tell you what the town is like any more, because it's been about three decades. But I remember I enjoyed it pretty much.

For a number of years, I sailed on a tanker that was under contract to the military.

Vessel spent two years on the hook in DeGar...

Another year loading jet fuel in Guam, then discharging in Subic.

You have to remember that this was the 80s, there was nothing you could see in those bars back then that you can't see on the beach today.
