Hello everybody, I got a question for you, is there a way to report to AMT a serial scammer requester when you have proofs of his unjust behavior? The requester is: Data Collection A15V32GP5GBL1N and the Hit ID is: 3XEIP58NL23N3VU2DAX96YT77YTZLI. The hit title was: "Switching - Interference", basically, you had to memorize 4 symbols inside a square and then they showed you one of those symbol at a time and you had one second to recall where it was located inside the square. You also had to resolve lots of equations between the 8 rounds, after the first 8 trial rounds. It was very challenging and it took me 2 hours to do it right because they required an accuracy level above 75%, otherwise there was no way to get the code. After some really hard working, I managed to score 98% of accuracy so I got my code that I submitted. The requester rejected my work just by writing "No Data Provided" so I sent him an e-mail attaching the screenshot of the successful uploading and the code that I submitted but I've got no answer, of course, because I learnt only after that the guy is a serial scammer, he plays this trick every time, I've read about many workers that went through the same exact thing I did. Is there a way to officially report this dude so that episodes like this won't happen again to others? I hate the fact that he is taking advantage of workers and get away with it every single time. What can I do about it?

Damn... sorry this happened to you. I actually did the same HIT and was accepted so not sure what their deal is. It did take me almost an hour when it was advertised to take 30 minutes however and I did send them an email complaining. I got a response too, indicating that they would look at other participants and see if it is indeed taking longer than intended and will compensate us if so. Based on your situation and many others though, it looks like that won't be happening.

The requester, after tons of e-mails, answered to my screenshots telling me that the reason behind my rejection now is that I have submitted the hit outside the allowed time. I mean, are you kidding me??? There's no why to submit a hit if the time has run out, everybody knows that.... what a moron.... It's pretty clear now that the guy doesn't want to pay workers. Also, like you said, the instructions to the hit were shady, the trials were way lot more than expected and I learned about the 8 blocks when I was already halfway. It took me 2 hours to do it right and now I should let this guy treat me like a fool while he is a big fat liar???

The requester, after tons of e-mails, answered to my screenshots telling me that the reason behind my rejection now is that I have submitted the hit outside the allowed time. I mean, are you kidding me??? There's no why to submit a hit if the time has run out, everybody knows that.... what a moron.... It's pretty clear now that the guy doesn't want to pay workers. You can let Amazon know, of course. But their standing policy is not to come between workers and requesters. They have banned requesters before (it would never benefit you directly - you won't get paid if he won't pay you). But, it's worth a shot. Just be cautious in your emails with amazon (be very professional).

I'm sorry that this happened to you. I think the only thing you can really do is use the contact form on MTurk and hope someone actually reads it, but we're generally pretty powerless when it comes to stuff like this.

Do you use any of the review sites, like TurkerView or Turkopticon? They can help quite a lot with avoiding situations like this.

Unfortunately, I gave a look at his reviews when it was already too late, I never bumped into such a serial scammer, if you read the reviews on TO they will tell you the same thing I'm telling you. I wrote to the AMT e-mail address, I don't know about any contact forms, I know they can't reverse a rejection but I hope they can take action against this con.
