What the heck is going on with the Hugc hotel management review hits? When they first posted ( I think about a week ago) there were thousands of them. Now, I never see them posted, but my panda catches 8-10 every half hour or so all day. I am (slightly) mad because originally I thought they were crap, but they are so easy and fast now and I can't get enough at one time to get into a groove.

Dear Vicky,

If your HIT's didn't take 15-20 seconds to submit each one, I would be more than willing to spend 15-20 seconds per HIT rather than 5-6 seconds. Between looking at them and getting them to finally submit, I am spending 30+ seconds per HIT.

Dear Fellow Associate,

Recently we ran a batch for 'Which Product type is the most appropriate' and we did an analysis of individual crowd worker answers and we are not happy with the quality of the answers. We are finding far too many cases where the crowd worker has chosen an answer option that is ridiculously wrong. Following are some examples:

1. Product was Sausage & Hotdogs, image and description clearly showed that but crowd worker chose ‘Tofu’
2. Product was a wine color sweatshirt and hoodie, image and description clearly showed that (infact image showed a model wearing the sweatshirt ) but crowd worker chose ‘Wine’
3. Product was Automotive cleaning brush, image and description clearly showed that but crowd worker chose ‘Tire’
4. A frozen bag of chicken was labelled as Book .

Committing ridiculous errors such as above only proves that the crowd worker is not spending enough time on each question to review the product carefully. The sad part is we have had such errors from new members and also from members who have been with us for a long time.

Some of you are not spending enough time on each question (just spending 5-6 secs). We expect a minimum of 15-20 sec.

Incase when you are not sure what a product is , please choose N/A.
For e.g - if you see a yogurt drink none of the answer options say 'yogurt drink' please choose N/A. Please understand that yogurt drink is NOT EQUAL to yogurt. say yogurt.

To mitigate the above problem we are introducing a feature to randomly check worker’s answers against out golden set while a batch is running. If a worker repeatedly falls short of the quality that is expected, we have every right to remove such worker(s) without further notice.

So please mindfully work on the tasks. We value your hard work and we want to continue collaborating with you. Please understand that this is a general message that we are sending out to all workers who were engaged in our last task.

Yeah, I'm a little annoyed that some people are getting different emails with more information. I received two nearly identical emails yesterday, but they didn't contain any of that stuff about times or the yogurt example, etc. That's stuff that I think everyone should know if they're working on the HITs.
