Omg, I had my headphones plugged in and forgot. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't making that beeping sound it makes. Then I tried to open Youtube and thought I'd gone deaf for a second....

At least I figured it out before I alerted any of my family. They already think I'm crazy.....just more fodder for when they want to put me in a home. I can here them now, "And then there was one time mom was flipping out over not being able to hear....."

Definitely a weird weather year - it was snowing in nearby mountains well into May (and Purgatory Ski Resort in Southern Colorado even offered a rare Memorial Day weekend skiing!)

We had our first 90 deg day on Friday (fairly late for that) and my backyard wild grasses are green and not grass-fire-ready brown like it has been this time of year over the last decade or so.

Don't know if this is due to this year's El Nino or if climate change has been in effect long enough to start showing us the new weather patterns.

near Durango, Colorado in Southwest Colorado near the New Mexico border and close to the Four Corners (check out the Four Corners Monument where you can simulate but not be in four states at once because they screwed up the location of the Monument!).

Purgatory seems to have added summer activities so you can choose to go in winter for their famous skiing or go in summer and have some mountainous summer fun including a mountain coaster.
