Thanks I'm too tired to think right now. This whole darned thing I was yawning every couple of minutes it was bizarre.

If you use MTS and can still find the requester in your HIT Finder history, you should be able to just right click their name and get the contact link. Or you could add the requester ID to the end of this URL:
https://worker.mturk.com/contact_requester/hit_type_messages/new?hit_type_message[hit_type_id]=YOURMTURKHIT&hit_type_message[requester_id]=REQUESTERID

I did that but the recipient name just showed up as "requester". That's the one I tried that didn't work, don't know if it was the space in the username.

Still don't know if this can work, they do the whole hit in-page so I'm not sure they save the data if the timer runs out.

Yeah, it just does that when you use the generic contact links like that. But as long as it has the requester ID it should work. You can leave the other stuff out.

Great, after I sent the message it said

Now I have to find out how to find out if you sent a message. Instead of, you know, eating dinner and going to sleep.

That's some weird glitch that's been going on for a while. The message has always gone through when I've seen that error message.

I mean, god forbid MTurk make something work correctly and actually make sense. It almost like you need scripts to do ANYTHING. Which it really shouldn't, if you think about it. It's like if you bought a phone and could even make a phone call without a forum and programs on your computer that you have to plug your phone into to use.

It's like a Bugthesda game. They let the users do the tech support, work out the kinks, write massive bugfix mods, etc.
