Well, that's something I can persue: one never knows, does one. How do yo define "in the middle of nowhere"? And thanks for the lead!!
my takeaway of her reply is think about a major grocery store in whatever decent-sized city you consider nearby, visit their website, see if they have online ordering and then see if they have a delivery service that will deliver to you despite the distance.

I'm surprised at what she seems to be saying about InstaCart - you'd think they have limited delivery areas like most services but maybe they realize in some areas that rural deliveries are needed and offer that.

My town has less than 1,000 people lol. I think we might be outnumbered by cows and chickens.
Before I moved back home, I lived in a town of about 1200, with multiple dairies surrounding that were larger (in size and number of heads) than the town.

Thanks for the food links, HelloHello @HelloHello. I've used Amazon Prime and Netfllix both, and I much prefer the former. Amazon just seems to have a wider selection, plus some of the acknowledged "classics" show up regularly. E.g., they now have the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Dune, To Catch a Thief, the Groucho Mark program, The Great St. Louis Bank Robbery (Steve McQueen), PLUS a fair representation of sport-based flicks, AND a good selection of history stuff.

I think it depends on who is willing to sign-up and work for them. It seems to be like Uber, but for groceries....

Some of our local grocery stores are using InstaCart now. It's been really convenient. I live in the middle of nowhere too and I was really surprised that some of them have started using it now.
Sounds great. But not available here. We can't even get Meals-on-Wheels here. Nothing. No InstaCart, no home delivery--by ANYONE, no Uber, Lyft, the shuttle is unreachable, cabs are more expensive than in Houston(if you find one operating), and DoorDash is advertised, but not available. I've never in 45 years even seen a pizza delivery in this dump. It has it's own zip code, so it's easy to exclude. This is the great big empty spot on the map....or as I like to say, over-the-edge.

Right, but from what I know the local grocery store also has to be willing to work with the service. Which, I'd have expected a lot more pushback to that from a store in your area - today I learned. :)

Yeah, InstaCart is the only service we have around here lol. When I was little there was a service that used to deliver fast food, but they only lasted about 6 months. I constantly order from InstaCart because I'm afraid they might consider it a waste of their time and stop at any minute.

I did not know that! That's pretty cool that they'd let them do it!

InstaCart doesn't trip out here :(, but you're idea about contacting some "local" stores is a great one!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!
