Voted bagels, but would change my mind if the donut is a good apple fritter.

edit: I wanna be real clear on this because so many places do apple fritters wrong...

1. There should be chunks of apples mixed throughout and visible on the surface
2. it should be fried enough to have a moderately dark, sturdy shell on the outside, which lets it stand up to the glaze
3. It should be fried at the right temperature. It should have a moist, bread like texture inside and not be greasy or oily
4. the smaller bits on the edges should be darker and on the verge of being crunchy
5. warm. it should be slightly warm
