They'll probably just start using their own drivers and force tips that way, so they can continue not having to pay a livable wage to their employees. Why pay wage when you can guilt the customer into doing it after the customer has already paid for the food?

In my city, there are 2 mininum wages - one almost ridiculously low one for employees who are expected to be tipped and one for employees who are not customarily tipped.

I suppose pizza delivery drivers get the tipped employee minimum wage and I"m surprised restaurants partner with the major food delivery companies instead of hire their own delivery drivers to be able to pay the tipped employee minimum wage and still get the benefits of having their food delivered.

5s submitting smoothish for once?

Far from it - many were "task cannot be rendered, return it" or the submit took so long that I got a "HIT not submitted" error, presumably because the timer ran out before the submit server accepted the task.

Still grateful though. Looked like it was going to be a PE 25 cent day and now it's met my decent day PE.

The Denny's here does this sneaky thing where when you go to pay, it gives you some default tip% options, and the lowest one is 18%. Just close enough to 15% that maybe you'll push it instead of calculating 15% and manually typing it in.

I worked at Denny's in high school and on average customers tipped horribly there. I'd be surprised if most customers fall for that default.

I actually don't always know what I tip anymore. I'm terrible. I hand the reciept to my boyfriend and he does maths. And he tends to be generous.
