Argument with daughter over how many eggs chickens lay ( @JenniLeigh how often will 20 chickens lay a dozen eggs??)

at the end of the argument, daughter sits in car texting - and next thing she is crying (she dropped the phone. It's dead).

So, useless fight and.....eventually, I'm going to be out 200.00

Correct, let's say you have 10 jobs on at once with a cycle timer of 1000 ms (the default for PC), it's going to try the first panda, wait a second, try the second, etc. So, in the span of a minute each job is going to be tried 6 times, whereas if you had only 1 job it would be tried 60 times, 2 jobs 30 times, etc

100% depends on the breed. Some lay daily (except for winter/super hot summer) It takes 22-30 hours to make an egg.
I have three laying hens right now. (Four little baby pullets that aren't, and an old lady hen retiring here who manages a little fairy egg every couple weeks. And my roo and drake.) I get 1, 2, or 3 depending on the day. (We're also having a very rough summer, so I can understand why they're not daily.)
If you want a dozen a day, I'd go with at least 18 ladies, b/c you never know. BUT- some days, all 18 very well may lay.

100% depends on the breed. Some lay daily (except for winter/super hot summer) It takes 22-30 hours to make an egg.
I have three laying hens right now. (Four little baby pullets that aren't, and an old lady hen retiring here who manages a little fairy egg every couple weeks. And my roo and drake.) I get 1, 2, or 3 depending on the day. (We're also having a very rough summer, so I can understand why they're not daily.)
If you want a dozen a day, I'd go with at least 18 ladies, b/c you never know. BUT- some days, all 18 very well may lay.

And if they free range like my chickens/ducks do, they may have hidden stashes in places you will eventually find..and those eggs will be bad lol!
