On this day in 1930 Sir Sean Connery was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Best known for his roles as James Bond he has over 94 films under his belt including Highlander (my favorite), a few of the Indian Jones saga, The Rock and The Hunt for Red October. He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as an Irish cop in The Untouchables (1987) and was voted Sexiest Man Alive at age 69 in 1999 by People Magazine. He retired from acting in 2005.

I also want to thank Queen @aveline and the whole MTC @Staff for all their hard work in keeping this place running.

i may need to search out the ancient bond movies and see if I need to change my vote on sean connery.

I like the bond series but I am not sure I've seen any movie where he was bond.

I like the bond series but I am not sure I've seen any movie where he was bond.

I like the scene where the spider crawls all over him and he tries to beat it to death and ends up shooting it. And says, ''I hate spiders''. The Connery Bond films were full of vaguely concealed humor.
