Me coming back to Mturk after a 1.5 year haitus and 76k hits completed and dealing with what apparently is Sunday levels of work.

So my daughter's school just sent out an email saying:
"Our new Grade Book notification will send a DAILY email if any grade below a 70% is posted for your student(s)"
It's also supposed to notify us daily if our kid has an unexcused absence...huh...

My kids' schools do that, only they send out daily emails for all of it. So, we see all the assignments and all the grades they have made and all of their assigned homework for the day and "suggestions" on what you can do to help them with it....I actually find it really annoying. When I was a kid, my parents never ever helped me...with any of it. I remember feeling like the other kids were cheating when I knew their parents had helped them with their homework lol. I made A's, but I had to make them all on my own.

Everyone at her school is a helicopter parent. I'm trying to teach her more personal responsibility with her school work and chores. I tried to talk to a few other mom's at the school about it, but it seems like they still wipe their kid's butts. They micromanage/control every thing. I could never do that to a kid.

lmao i felt this i my parents didnt micromanage me at all but were always there when i genuinely needed help and support. Then people i knew who were micromanaged are in college now and had to come home after a year because they couldnt adult
