I want to be able to announce the name of a particular qual here and have people ask me for it and granting it automatic-like. Rather than people sending me their IDs making me do all the work. Not sure if that's possible yet.

If you figure out how to make a mturk qualfication test you can just link people to it -- those can auto-grant quals.

The puzzle is how to make it available only to the sea creatures here in the forum?

Thinking through -- if I create a qual and make sure it exists on AMT, then of course nobody's going to know about it until I either create a HIT requiring it, or... wait for it... announce it here.

The problem is with that that a lot of people will miss out because you won't know how many to post. Have you consulted with Aveline or Jan or the other mods about the possibility of list of those who belong to the forum? You might be able to limit the access to a qualifier hit to that list. We might have to authorize her to release our information but I for one would have no problem with that if she agrees.
