Loaded question.

Back in the day the community used to refer to "soft blocks" as just being blocked and "hard blocks" as ones where you get an email warning about it.

Email warnings haven't happened for years so blocks are just blocks now.
Of course some will say blocks always were blocks but I disagree.

So, you're not supposed to know and should always remain in a state of confusion as to what a block is, and how it impacts you. Could it be any other way?

I thought soft blocks were those that you had a chance to come back from (like MLData Labeler batches that soft block for a week if you do more than ~1000) and the rest of the blocks were long term.

i thought MLD gave you an actual disqual, which is a different thing; an assigned qual to stop you from doing hits

I'm pretty sure the only difference was how the requester blocked you. Through the website or command line/API.

I was under the impression from talking to support long ago that the emails were when they gave an ugly reason like "SCAMMER!!!!"

But that actually does make a lot of sense given that's the way qual emails are handed out.

I wish blocks were obvious. AMT's Quals section sucks so it's not easy for me to see if I might have a qual there that is the equivalent of a block.

I haven't seen Ben Peterson's in months so I don't know if I did so many earlier this year that he's blocked me or if he's simply not posting them anymore.

I did this HIT yesterday and it was rejected. The game gave me an error at the end so they rejected it and sent me a link to the game with a different user ID suggesting I try again and to let them know if there were any more errors. I went all the way through it again this morning only to run into the same problem at the same area of the game again. I sent them an email and a screenshot of the error message. Hours passed and I haven't heard from them so I refreshed the game and did (only the end this time) a third time and it appeared to work. I sent them another email and asked that they reverse the rejection. That was about four hours ago. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I don't know what to call it but Ben Peterson "temporarily blocked" me for a few weeks. I keep the PANDA around and it has been turning purple for me every time until today. I'm not exactly sure what the method is for those HITS, but every now and again I'll be temporarily locked out then able to do them again.

It would be nice if we were allowed to know stuff. I've been doing quarrel recast and clincdev hits for months with nothing but acceptance and then now I can't do any of them. Now, I don't know if a block impacts my account, or if there was an issue with my work.

It would be nice if we were allowed to know stuff. I've been doing quarrel recast and clincdev hits for months with nothing but acceptance and then now I can't do any of them. Now, I don't know if a block impacts my account, or if there was an issue with my work.

The entire qualification system is a hot mess. I miss at least getting notified when I get a new qual instead of just seeing the work pop up.

It amazes me on those network games how people can't follow simple directions. Every single one of those network games you just have to throw money in the pot and in the end you all get a huge bonus. Idk. Lets all get tiny bonuses then.
