They do seem to take their identity checking pretty seriously. I've recommended two people try to join mturk and both were denied amazon payment accounts. No idea why. This was a while back so not sure what it's like now.

I think you can get away with using a P.O. box as long as all of your identifying information (bank, IRS records, etc) includes that address.

I swear I have qualed twice wit those HITs and never have seen those HITs show up on the days I signed up for.

I wonder even if the library computers are totally locked down (no installing software), if someone could still run portable apps from a USB stick. That would let someone run scripts since it's on the USB stick.

That sounds like turking in nightmare mode. Any other device is probably better than a time limited library computer.

This is a universal concept. I get glared at for the 2 and a half seconds it takes to load the fare on my phone.
