I think its the "how are we going to make sure they never get free money again" fix from a few months back
I hadn't considered that. It wouldn't surprise me at all.

I do wonder what it means by eligible Mturk workers. What happens to the foreign turkers?

I think its there way of disentangling amazon payments from mturk so it can be completely silo'd
I think they’re starting a banking concern. I’ve taken some surveys about it.

It's funny that they refer to it as a "new option" then go on to say that they're going to be removing the only other option.

I'm annoyed at losing the freedom to transfer when I want to transfer, but I suppose it's not any different from having a "real job" where you get paid weekly.

Does anyone remember when we could transfer as many times per day as we wanted? Can we go back to that, please?

Greetings from Amazon Mechanical Turk,

We are delighted to announce that a new simplified Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) payment disbursement option will be available on December 15, 2019. This new option will enable you to have your MTurk payments deposited directly into your US bank account on a regular schedule. You can adjust your payment settings to occur every 7, 14, 30 or 60 days depending on the cadence that works best for you. We encourage you to set up direct transfer through the MTurk website starting December 15, 2019 as we will discontinue the Amazon Payments disbursement option on January 15, 2020 in lieu of direct US bank account transfers for eligible MTurk Workers.

We will provide additional information about this new payment process in December. If you have any questions, please contact support at mturk-worker-support@amazon.com.

Thank you for helping MTurk grow and have a great day!

Sincerely,

The MTurk Team

A friend and I were talking about raising kids - we both had 5 year olds at time....Scott said he found himself putting words together in the same sentence that he never thought he would as in "Sophie, get your foot out of the yogurt"
this is one of the most accurate statements about parenting ever
