Stayed awake for four hours waiting on Choice Lab. They of course showed up when I decided to go back to sleep. Not gonna bother trying anymore.

I haven't used it, so I can't say one way or the other. Those steps should be fairly similar, so it doesn't hurt to try it out. As long as you remember the steps you take, you should be able to undo it in case something goes terribly wrong (which is unlikely!)

I tried to find some documentation for HFo but it doesn't look like there's any out there.

You aren't kidding. I did some searching and I couldn't find anything but some less-than-helpful youtube videos.

https://github.com/Kadauchi/mturk-suite/wiki/HIT-Finder might give you a bit of an idea, since it looks like there's some similarities between the two extensions. Otherwise, it looks like you'll have to do stuff by trial and error.
