I get ours through the exchange. My husband's self-employed so he doesn't get insurance through an employer. The year before last we didn't qualify for the subsidy and we paid $1750 a month for our family of 5, which is more than our mortgage. Last year we did qualify and it was $1035 a month. Yes it's the same. I'm assuming the more people you have in the family the price goes down. Although, the plan we have isn't great at all. I think our deductible is 6300. I basically picked the lowest monthly premium I could find just so we're covered if something catastrophic happens.

Not necessarily, it's income based so the higher the income the higher the deductibles/out of pocket cost and the lower the subsidy as it hits past $50k. I find it messed up because even the cheapest plans are not so great, not with such high deductibles/out of pocket cost.
Either that, or snow already and clear up. I can't take the medicine I normally do for headaches because it has too much caffeine and interacts with this new crap my doctor put me on that I'm still trying to adjust to. If I have caffeine on top of it I become a little spastic.
