Started Keto today.

Feel fine so far. Bought truvia vanilla stuff for tea and coffee, and some of that sugar free lily's chocolate to help with any cravings.

I have *got* to lose at least ten pounds before christmas, but the goal is 30lbs by the time spring rolls around.

To those guys who are struggling to lose weight you should get your total and free testosterone checked, especially if you are older than 30. Mines been low for a few years but i finally went ahead and got TRT, I feel fantastic, losing weight and putting on muscle. I'm also on keto atm. Works okay for me but counting calories with my fitness pal or fitbit app works better for me personally

 hello! welcome to mtc!

I use myfitnesspal sometimes. i never lose weight with calorie counting and exercise, and i also start getting eating disordery and have breakdowns and panic attacks about food when I calorie count.

Day four of keto, feel pretty alright. No cravings, not even eating that often. I've made some really good meals. I was really sick on Tuesday with the keto flu... migraine, sick to my stomach exhausted.

english brekkie tea with vanilla truvia in the mornings.... if I eat anything at breakfast it's a cheese stick...

I'm hoping I can stick with this for a few weeks. I already feel less bloated from all the peeing :ahhh:

Yeah the keto flu stinks lmao. Be strong and push through it, I know it can be hard. Are you a regular keto user? I remember the first time I ran keto I had flu symptoms for almost a week and a half where I felt run down. Each successive time since has been shorter, now it only lasts a few days. Back about 10 years ago I was put on an anti depressant from my PCP and put on 60 lbs in two months, felt and looked horrible. Since then I've lost a lot, gained some, lost it again and just recently been gaining again cause I've been eating a ton while working out. Once I got my testosterone levels back on track it seems a lot easier. Although I'm more hungry, a lot more seems to go to muscle instead of just my love handles lol.

I'm starting to cut down again currently after adding about 40 lbs total, much of it muscle I believe. Bodyfat didn't increase too awful much even tho I went from 160 to 203 haha. I'm down about 17 lbs in the past month and a half though, I think I should look really good around 170 now.

I had a thyroid issue where my tsh was around 8.5 where it's supposed to be below 4. My endo tried levothyroxine but it didn't do too much and after that is when I got TRT. Once I got that my thyroid level went back to 1.1 which is really good. Testosterone and thyroid function go hand in hand so if one is wrong the other will be too. Just gotta figure out which one is causing the problems.

Keep up with the keto, ur doing great :D

This is my third round. I did my first round in January, lost 15 pounds in a month, got really sick (unrelated mostly) brochitis twice and flu once. gained everything back and then some. was super busy all summer and tried it for a week in july, had massive stomach issues, gave up.

this time i have avoided the stomach issues and my keto flu was really short.

I'm not hungry and its so nice. I'm usually impulsively stupidly hungry all time.

weekend update

lost 6lbs (i know, i know water weight)

doing alright, a lot less cravings. I had some carbs friday night - the command christmas party didn't really have food i could eat, otherwise.

also some saturday, but meh, just at one meal. I have 5 alcoholic beverages all weekend, all of them zero carbs. Nothing crazy.

I put together keto hot coco yesterday. not very good but gives me some delight lol

Back to keto and starting the gym hustle tomorrow.
Already dreamed last night that I slept through my alarm and missed to gym.

Yeah, I've chilled on the drinking for the most part. Friday I still drink a whole bottle of wine... regular size...but other than that I have massively cut back and feel better.

Get to the exercise machine. Clean the garage this week.

I grocery shopped and prepped for keto this week. Yay!

Also, I've hit the gym two days in a row. I have a written out schedule for the next 12 weeks til my 8k and Half Marathon Weekend.

I started some weights today for the first time in a while.

I need another belt because the one I have barely keeps my pants up. I've been doing intermittent fasting, 16-8 for a few months (It's tough, I still struggle with wanting to eat all the things when my fast is up). I feel very good. I need to up my exercise regimen.
