just signed up for prolific after seeing two of ya'll mention it... is it really any good?

It depends on demographics/location, there's some weeks where it's good and other times it's kind of slow/dead. Seems that my husband always get a bit more often then I do and other times it's me who's getting them. Pay varies.

I think it's an okay way to make a few extra bucks to supplement your mturk income. It helps especially on slow weeks. It's better than stuff like Swagbucks IMO.

Mturk fees are too high. 40% for anything with more than 10 assignments. I still get mad about it randomly.

.50 PER HIT just to use their "premium" age demographic qualification.

You know requesters are just scanning the pricing page and are like, this is a scam.

Don't know....could be a month or few months, it depends on what they want to do next. Just keep your eyes out either way.

I think I was brilliant today . . . I have a $25 Visa gift card from a study and I wanted to order from Sallys Beauty (My hair color is bogo now). To get free shipping you have to have a $25 order but they don’t count the taxes, etc in the $25 and if you use a credit card you can only use one and no PayPal or anything else. So I bought a gift card for $25 and when I get it (yes, they send a physical card) I can use it together with another credit card or PayPal. What's funny is requesters could set up those same quals for free. I often accuse Amazon of not doing a good enough job at teaching requesters how to properly use qualifications. It sure seems to work out in their favor.
