I had a horrible cough around this time last year. It was so bad I was throwing up constantly. Only thing that helped it was getting a prescription from the doctor for the good stuff.

Aww shit i was hoping not to make that trip to the Dr, mines not as bad but as someone that has to speak to people on and off all day it gets in the way. I might just try the Mucinex next

YES Mucinex is the one I use when it's not a bad cough. The one I had last year I kind of..let it go too far.

Isn't there a generic now? I got one not long ago, that a pill is good for about 4 hours, so not the long working kind, and it wasn't too much. Worked for what I needed and I was sick.
