Grandmothers Update. Yes I said it in the plural.
My almost 92 year old Grandmother BEAT COVID 19! She is now negative, back at her assisted living apartment, and quarantine is over so she can roam the halls and enjoy activities again. Relief!
My 97 year old Grandmother, that I commonly refer to as Evil Grandmother for many reasons, is also in assisted living. Which she is about to get kicked out of. She misbehaves. Some of it is age and a little dementia, but she has always been an ash hole. My dad texted me that the assisted living facility has shipped her off to a geriatric psych ward for a week or two. She has been calling the nurses names, won't take her medicines, throwing stuff at people, harassing the other residents, etc. She got kicked out of a nursing home earlier this year for similar behavior (walking up and down the halls calling the staff "Grinches."). They thought she'd do better in assisted living because she did better in the nursing home without a roommate, and she is actually fairly mobile (with a walker) and able to be alone. Anyway, one grandmother out of nursing care, and one into it.
