USA TODAY just sent me a popup that says the $600 stimulus checks could arrive as early as tonight if you have direct deposit and paper checks will begin being mailed tomorrow, Wednesday.

Later this week you can check your payment status at http://IRS.gov/GetMyPayment
yup. just saw the news updates. in the meantime they can't get their act together to allow the higher amount. oh well. i'll add the $600 to my weekly earnings for this week and it'll still not be the best week I've ever had on mturk haha.

That is good news! With my husband not working at all now and hasn't been eligible for PUA or unemployment in months, our sole income is my turking/prolific/couple other sites. Between mortgage, food, insurance, prescriptions, silly things like heat and electricity, I am juggling like crazy.

i really thought i'd be ok w/o unemployment but the job market is not cooperating like i'd hoped so i'm going to file. luckily i have a severance package that is keeping me afloat and my HSA is covering COBRA until it runs out of funds mid next year. This year sucks.

I'm mad at myself for losing out on a good hotD today. At the very end, I clicked a radio button that was a mistake, and I couldn't undo. It was an attention check. I frantically tried to find a script to fix it, but it didn't work, lol.

Ugh, sorry to hear that. Definitely apply for unemployment because if your state has issues like mine, you may take awhile to get approved anyway. We were told by 211 to "apply now, just in case you need it at any point in the year" (which was earlier this year) because it's easier to not file for weeks then it is to reopen everything.

This year DOES suck! I haven't even been able to see my mom since March. It's the longest I've gone in my almost 42 years without seeing her. But I'm not willing to risk it with her being on chemo!

My credit union just sent out an email that asked that we all refrain from continuously checking to see if we have received the stimulus payment - they asked that we set an alert for Any Deposit at the website.

Last stimulus payment caused many banking sites headaches because of the traffic.

I'm sorry to hear that you have to juggle like that. Are you holding up okay? If you need a friend, I'm here!

i wish i'd gotten that advice sooner rather than later. i know what i'll be doing tomorrow. yay me. it's life. i was laid off a month ago but as I should've known w/ this time of year nobody is really hiring. it's usually the case around now anyways.
i left Austin in March to spend a few weeks at home in Ft Worth after my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer so I could be around to help out if anything was needed. Then Austin basically shut down and schools were following suit so I decided to stick around to help my brother out w/ his two kids because he's working trying to get funds raised for a new project and he can't have kids tagging along of course. FF to Sept. I'm still in Ft Worth (luckily working remotely had been the norm for 4 years) so I decide it's time to return to Ft Worth permanently which I do and it turns out to be the best thing I could have done this year. Living at home w/ my mom, my brother and his two kids, helping out but then laid off 2nd week of November..imagine if i'd been paying rent on an apartment.. it sucks not working and having to learn to navigate the job market again after 10 years but I'm in a situation where I'm not in dire need of a job thankfully. Not many are in the same position. I figure next week I'll really dig my feet in and get searching going again but this week is a lost cause for job searches.

This is a non Masters HIT, fyi.

30 minutes. A big chunk of that, dealing with the screener. It took a bit, and honestly it was not intuitive, needs to be improved. One opinion. Bonus is available, they said up to $2, however did not disclose your earned bonus, during the survey.

Thank you! That's really thoughtful. I'm... meh. You know the bubbles we always have to fill about how we handle pressure and if we like change or work better in a monotonous situation? I can unequivocally answer those questions after this year. I flipping miss my daily routines of being ALONE all day with no distractions while I work.

I think if I could get a couple hours a day to be alone, I'd be in a much better frame of mind. But, husband can't be trusted to be alone with his depression being so severe right now. I just want a little bit of privacy, a little piece of routine and a place to vent (which ended up being here today, hah.) Really, thank you for asking. All of us should reach out more. :hug2:

I totally know what you mean about missing that alone time. It really makes a huge difference! Me and my husband are also struggling with pretty severe depression, and it's only been made worse by COVID-19, so I empathize.

Lately, me and my husband have been packing up and going for really long walks on the trails in the national/state parks near us. We make a day out of it and only walk the easy ones so we don't die lol but our arrangement is that we don't talk on these walks unless it's to protect the other person's safety. It's kind of alone time without really being alone. Maybe something like that would give you a bit of that feeling back? :)
