talk about two ends of the spectrum.. had an introductory/feeler interview with a company this morning that I think went well. the recruiter wants to get my resume in front of other teams and not just the one role applied for. on the other end, I called my eye doctor to find out where the heck my new glasses are after 2 months.. turns out the lab damaged my frames and had to reorder. gee, thanks for calling me, y'all. I let the office manager have it, nicely, but she still got an earful. (my days of yelling on a phone call ended after I was on the receiving end of those for 7 years in a call center)

Odd they would do an estate sale....you would think nuns would be limited on possessions.
Priests usually handle the possessions right?

Convent! That's the word I was looking for. This gorgeous old building was too large for the few nuns that were left and it was sold and everything inside auctioned. It was the first physical auction I ever went too, but they also had smaller estate sales leading up to it. Lots of antique furniture and more pyrex casserole dishes than even my grandma had. (shut up, don't look in my cabinet). Items like perfume, fabric, hand tatted lace, church bells and lots of craft things that they used to make items they sold for charity events. Everything went through the official channels and allowed special items to be sold because proceeds were going towards the new nunnery (convent, whatever). I've been to tons of estates since, but that was the coolest one. (and OMG the stained glass)

Nuns and priests take vows of poverty, chastity and obedience and personally don't own much but the orders can accept donations of money and other physical items.
