I will certainly miss @Nikoratos and his love of food and beer. No matter the topic he was always great at helping my Luddite brain. He was a funny and sweet guy and I wish I had gotten to actaully meet him in person but was enriched by knowing him through discord. He introduced me to chocolate beer, a couple of youtube channels and helped with crypto. I will truly miss him.

I will really miss @Nikoratos . I didn't know him very long, but the short time I did, he had such a huge impact on me. He helped me through some terrible times and always knew what to say. He was always so helpful and caring for anyone who needed to talk, whether it be about computers, chocolate beer, food, crypto, music recommendations, or tough times. Charlie was also such an adorable dog; I always loved when Nik would post pictures of him.

I was heartbroken when I found out that he had passed away. He was a great person that will be missed by many.

You never think when you join something like Mturk Crowd how big of an impact the people on it can have on you. Not only did I meet my love @Gator but I have met so many wonderful people. @Nikoratos being one of them. Nik could talk in depth, and intelligently, about any topic. He could range from deranged to witty to absolutely scholastic and back to deranged in the same sentence. Nik reached out to me when me mom passed away and several times after to make sure I was grieving properly and to let me know he cared.
My favorite conversations though were when he got to talking about food. That man loved to eat, loved to talk about eating, and could seriously down and appreciate a huge quantity of food. When I would turn my nose up at different and new-to-me foods, he would teasingly tell me to go order my chicken nuggets.
I know many of you aren't familiar with some of us talking about Nik or even Nik himself. There is a small subset of us that chat mainly on discord. You are all more than welcome to join us there as well. We can be rowdy, but we also have a lot of fun talking about everything under the sun. Sometimes even mturk! I encourage you to stop by and say hi, but make sure you still post in the Mothership: Mturk Crowd. I have been negligent in that, but am trying to be better.

I met @Nikoratos back when we had the Slack channel during a forum downtime. He dm'd me wanting to know the "right" way to interact in the chat because it was a work chat and he didn't want to act too informal if that wasn't okay. I assured him he was fine and that the live chats are more like a water cooler. He definitely took that to heart, didn't he? We didn't talk much really in the past year or so, but his presence was a big part of Discord and I will miss his larger than life personality. Here is a quote from one of our private conversations that I am sure a lot of people will understand. It made me chuckle and leak from my eyes.

Yes, please do! Sometimes it's slow in there. Other times we are chatting non stop about food, houses (we love zillow), and even have a pets channel for those of us that like fuzzy cuteness.
