maybe it's just in person. when I go online, it just gives me a select few (well, many - but not the one I want to buy) books.

The closest barns and noble to me is probably 1.5 hours away...........

Yeah, i took it as just in person, though worth a drive if you can get there today and felt like making it. and it does have to be hardback.

I just fired up a new Kindle Paperwhite ereader so I won't be buying a lot of hardback books at B and N anytime soon.

I swore I wouldn't buy any books, but a few things have come up where I really want the hardback. FWIW, I hear that if you buy them for your kindle, the author actually gets MORE $ (than if you got a hardcopy).

BTW - My public library has a robust Kindle book program AND I just scored 3 mo of Kindle Unlimited from Amazon, you might see if the offer is still good.
