I've already taken it, but I don't know if I'm allowed to do it.

you really only have a couple options:
1. load the HIT and see if it immediately blocks you via the mturk qual system.
2.Accept the hit and contact the requestor using contact requestor form to be on the safe side. Hang on to it until you get a response or it expires, whichever comes first.

Sometimes the emails get sent out well after the hit has been posted. The bulk email system is not the greatest.The better requestors set the mturk exclusion qualification in place to determine whether a hit has already been done. If that's the case, you'll know by attempting to accept the hit again.
