Every time I talk on the phone, the dog WHINES. It's awful and (to my knowledge) brand new.
Me (to daughter on phone) isn't he (dog) awful! I can't believe this. It's all new.
Daughter: no, it's not new. He used to do it all the time when you weren't here.

I've never heard of giving a dog - or , for that matter, a dog volunteraily eating, a whole stick of butter. My stomach is churning at the thought of swallowing a whole stick of butter.
Black labs and chocolate labs are fine, in my experience. It's the meth labs you gotta watch out for...
