some 'newby' on the towns facebook page said they keep their heat at 70 degrees and wondered if a 600 dollar a month oil bill was normal.

silly people! (looks at thermostat and sees 61 . I keep the heat low, but if I'm cold, I have plenty of wood for a fire and even a space heater - which heats me, not the room. I pay 600 or so for oil for the entire season.
