Yea!!! you got it too. I thought when I took that survey that it wasn't right. But would Amazon steer me wrong? Don't answer that. But it was a nagging feeling that said, this just isn't right. But it was what was there.

I’ve identified the issue now, and I truly apologize.

Your completion code did not match any completion code on the list of the survey ‘Study on the Psychological Effects of Advertising Content' because there was an error in the MTurk instructions, where the instructions actually contained two links (to two different studies).

You chose the link which directed you to the wrong study called 'Detecting Fake News vs Real News' instead of the 'Study on the Psychological Effects of Advertising Content'. So when I checked the completion codes of the 'Study on the Psychological Effects of Advertising Content', yours understandably did not appear and I believed the HIT was not completed, so I rejected it.

I realize now you simply did the HIT but completing the wrong study/survey. I know this was my fault, due to having a wrong link presented to you.

I'm working to rectify this issue right now and approve your HIT as soon as possible so you get paid as soon as possible.

I'm a student conducting this research for my university degree thesis, and I'm learning from my mistakes. I hope you can forgive me.

Yes! her email to me was similar. I always try to be nice in my emails, while emphasizing how detrimental rejections are to my account, because I figure if I'm rude I have zero chance of getting it overturned lol. Most requesters don't even bother to reply, or just double down on the BS reason they gave the rejection, so I was so pleasantly surprised to read her nice and thorough email!!!

Yes, same - the content of the HIT title didn't really match up to the survey I took - but what can you do? You take the survey presented to you in the link they provide. But I agree, it did seem odd!

and depending on how many took the wrong survey, she's going to have to pay them and run the actual survey over, correctly this time if she needs the info.

yeah, it was the "you didn't take the survey" that got me. So, I was doing my best to be kind. It wasn't easy, but I knew otherwise would do any good. And it sounds like she got bombarded enough.
