Well, I walked to town yesterday, voted, brought my digital watch to have a battery replaced (he said it would cost 35.00!) and there are no guarantees that it will work (something, something about digital watches). If it doesn't work, I don't have to pay him.

But I could give him a 'tip'?

If I was near you, I'd change your watch battery because I doubt it's very hard and the battery is probably very common.

I take it you didn't check youtube to see if there was a how-to video on changing your battery?

Give him a tip: "Don't invest in crypto."

It isn't hard, but they are notorious for problems (I think they want you to buy a new one). I broke one a few years ago trying to change it (This time, I did make an effort - I bought a screwdriver from the dollar store, that didn't work - the top spun!).
And then I ordered a screwdriver from amazon. Too big
So, I tossed in the towel and went to the expensive jewelry store.

At this point, I'm already thinking I need to buy a new one (I think that will ALSO cost 35.00, lol)

I recall that but somehow I thought you had also bought one for yourself.

I got one for three years in a study at no cost (a 6). Then, knowing the study would end, I got one through my Medicare Advantage Plan OTC program (an 8), which was nice because I wasn't spending cash out of my pocket. I got to use a Google Pixel Watch in another study for a few months . . . I like the Apple Watch. I wouldn't ante up for a new one, but I would for a refurb.
