When I went to the farm yesterday to get my weekly supplies, the kind Amish lady invited me in rather than let me stand on the porch in the cold. I walked into a kitchen warmed by a very modern, but wood burning expensive cookstove. The kind that I know they purchased at Lehman's. I went back to my childhood when the only heat in our home was wood and coal. A warm inviting heat that I'd forgotten existed.

It's dipping down to the teens for the next week or so
(so it's probably past time to get wood in my stove!)
