Winter's coming! ... Jan 10th'ish major polar vortex forecasted.

Aurora has been forecasted for after midnight to before dawn the morning of Dec 31st (Strong geomagnetic storm conditions). Might be seen reasonably south in the U.S. if the forecast comes true.

watching someone say 'once in a lifetime storm'
But this is a longterm model. Waiting now for local meteorologists to weigh in......

ETA added hand warmers into my amazon cart (I'm thinking I'll be shoveling quite a bit in the next few weeks)
