yeah its probably a mistake. my inner cynic can't help but wonder if some requesters just try to get away with not paying if they can

If $50 a day is the difference between keeping your house/apartment and feeding yourself and not doing that, yes, it will.

from my personal experience its pretty hard to do 50+ a day doing 6.00 an hour hits... I do it by doing 10, 15, 20 dollar an hour hits because much of the day is spent FINDING hits or WAITING, so the better paying hits are able to balance out the times where there was nothing available other than breligs and email hits.

Lets be honest... there isn't always a constant stream of work around these parts.
