There was an article last weekend in the LA Times about how >70% of people who are registered with the American Independent Party (ultra right) actually mean to register as independent (no political party). Ever since I read that, I wonder if when I pick "Independent" as the political party I most closely identify with on a survey, they think I'm some ultraconservative wingnut.

No offense to anyone who is actually a card carrying member of the AIP.

Edit: And I'm not trying to talk politics in this forum, I honestly just don't know what they mean on the surveys now. Everything is upside down!
