Daddy taught me to shoot when I was 3. I kid not. But, my dad was a cop, so, I kinda needed to know how.

That won't be this year now I wanna go to the QM but life says next year.

don't forget to check out the ham radio room on the QM when you go. usually there's a guy there from the amateur radio club in long beach running the HF systems making contacts around the world. maybe by then i'll have my general ham license and can work the radios. (i recently got my tech license )

Daddy taught me to shoot when I was 3. I kid not. But, my dad was a cop, so, I kinda needed to know how.

you beat me by 2 years but my dad taught me all the components and safety around 3-4 and if i ever wanted to see one in the safe i'd just ask him and he'd go grab it and we'd have some father son bonding time taking it apart and stuff.

Despite knowing I am an excellent shot guns terrify me. Dad taught me to shoot at 3, but also taught me to never touch his service weapon. And I never have until like two years ago when he handed it to me on a range and said "Hit the bulls eye kid"

I missed the BE by about a half inch but it was a powerful weapon and it had a kick so I flinched when it kicked.

start with smaller calibers like a 22 or .380 and you can learn the fundamentals and get used to them without flinching its a great hobby albeit an expensive one

yeah although we had most of them locked up i never had the urge to sneak a look at one 'cause i could just ask to see them anytime.
